Holiday Concert and Rehearsals!

December 3, 2008 · 1 Comment

Our Holiday Concert has been pushed back to Thursday December 18th due to a conflict with the WCHS Chorus Concert on the 11th. If you find that you have a conflict with the 18th, please contact Mr. Fye as soon as possible.

We will have an after-school rehearsal Thursday December 4th. 7th graders will rehearse from 5:15 – 6:30 pm, and 8th graders will rehearse from 6:45 – 8:00 pm. This will be our first opportunity to hear all of the parts together to prepare for our concert. Please understand that this is one of only TWO after-school required rehearsals that we schedule for the entire year, and we ask that you make every effort to be there. Any unexcused absence will result in a failing test grade.

Dress: While our blazers are being cleaned for us, we will have our students wear “Sunday Dress to Impress.” For boys: khaki or dark colored dress pants and a polo or button down dress shirt with tie and dress shoes. For girls: dress pants and a nice top, or appropriate length dress or skirt with a nice top and dress shoes. Please no jeans, shorts, tshirts, tennis/skateboarding shoes or flip-flops.

OUR FUNDRAISER = HUGE SUCCESS!

September 25, 2008 · 2 Comments

Thanks to outstanding parent volunteers, awesome staff members, and supportive administrators, all with great “whatever it takes” attitude, our BBQ Chicken Fundraiser was a success! We cannot thank enough everyone who helped to pull this fundraiser off, especially considering the circumstances with weather and school being closed. From getting up before 3:00 am to cook, to making lunch deliveries and slinging beans, to countless behind-the-scenes actions to get things done, many people stepped up to help.

We are lucky and grateful to have such a supportive MCMS family!

Special thanks to Cheryl and Bill Raper, Chuck Lindner and others for all of your hard work in preparing the food.
